Holy Smokes, guess who's excited to be working with Victor Yerrid! It was me (Stacey Gordon) back in 2017--I had just gotten Sesame Street and I was TERRIFIED and not that great on camera! Boy howdy can I just say, Victor Yerrid to the rescue! And I am SO very excited to be offering you the same opportunity I had to work with Victor & to grow as a performer, virtually over zoom!
WHAT: Victor's warm and friendly teaching style is casual, no pressure, and super positive! Exactly what we love at Puppet Pie!
Choose a 60 or 90-minute, one-on-one puppeteering coaching session with puppetry sensation, Victor Yerrid! Through the magic of the internet, you'll get to have live one-on-one coaching with Victor to teach you puppetry in ways you've never before thought about it.
Use this time to learn some basics, like eye focus, lip synch, centering yourself in the frame, or just to build up your confidence on camera. You can also work on more advanced concepts like character development, arm rods, using the frame to your advantage, and emotional performances.
WHEN: We'll reach out to you and choose a date and time that works for everyone's schedule.
WHERE: Zoom! Which means ANYWHERE!
HOW: Just add this to your cart & make your purchase! After we receive your order, we'll reach out to you to work out a date and time. If you have good days/times that you know, list them in the note at checkout!
SKILLS REQUIRED: Holding your arm up for extended periods of time; watching your performance on a monitor as you are working; lip sync; changing your name in zoom to match the name of the ticket-holder before you enter the zoom link provided before the session.
WHO: This workshop is designed for humans, ages 18+ who are capable of safely achieving the skills listed above (accommodations for people under the age of 18 may be made at the instructor's discretion, with a parent/guardian present during the session. Please contact us prior to purchase).
This is for tv/video/monitor puppeteers of all skill levels and abilities who would like to learn or improve upon their video performance skills in a "one-on-one setting"
BRING TO THE WORKSHOP:
- At least one moving-mouth puppet
- Your camera should be positioned very high (not tilted), so you can puppeteer comfortably (without kneeling), while still viewing the zoom screen (this can be achieved with an inexpensive, external webcam).
- Please set your camera up in an area where you will be able to move around easily, if possible.
- Please see the diagram for more details about your ideal set-up!
