WHAT: A very special live and interactive performance from one of the nation’s top shadow puppeteers, Singalong with Nappy’s Puppets: Songs in the Key of Silly will delight everyone in your home. Your whole family will giggle and cavort during this very special live performance! Jim Napolitano has gathered together the greatest Sing-A-Long songs of all time! Join in the fun as Nappy’s Puppets presents some of the silliest songs around. Did you look up what cavort means? Because I mean it! People in your home will cavort! (I know I’ll be cavorting!)
For a special treat, you can upgrade your experience with a special “Backstage Pass” after the performance! You’ll get to join Jim “backstage” for an in-depth question and answer session! See a demonstration of how the puppets are built, find out what they are made of, and learn what tools and techniques you would need to make your own! This extra experience is perfect for the family or individual who wants to begin telling their own stories through this very accessible art form, and even for those who just want to see how the characters come to life (or if you just wanna hang out with Nappy)!
WHEN: Performance: Saturday, April 24th from 10-11am Pacific Daylight Time (Please ask your friendly neighborhood search engine for your own time zone.) The ”Backstage Pass” experience will begin in a breakout room, shortly after the performance concludes. This performance will not be recorded.
WHERE: Zoom! Which means ANYWHERE! A zoom link will be sent out a few hours before the event.
WHO:This performance is for ages 0-100! (Although if you’re over 100, we’ll still sneak you in!) (Only one ticket-purchase per Zoom screen!)
ABOOUT THE GUEST ARTIST:
Nappy's Puppets is dedicated to presenting quality puppet theater to audiences of all ages. The goal of each performances is to entertain, inspire and educate the audience on the range and scope ofpuppetry as an art form.
Jim Napolitano is a native of Milford, Connecticut, and a graduate of the University of Connecticut's Puppet Arts Program. After completion of his degree, Jim worked with Bits and Pieces Puppet Theater. He performed around the country and around the world, including The National Culture Center in Japan and The National Theater in Taiwan.
Jim is now working as a freelance artist and performer. Jim’s work can be seen on the PBS show, Between The Lions. Other television credits include The Book Of Pooh,The Weinerville Chanukah Special,A Show of Hands, and Stick Stickly . Most recently Jim’s Shadow puppets were features on The Walking Dead: The world Beyond. Jim has also performed the voices of Iro and Kabu on the cartoon Kirby as well as the voice of Granpa Yo-me on Shaman King both on the Fox Box.
Jim Has been performing for family audiences for over 30 years.
