I think that we can all agree that 2020 has been a giant dumpster fire and we appreciate your patience as orders for physical products (which are not masks) are going to take a little longer to ship. If you have a pressing deadline, please contact us prior to purchase.
A winter pandemic is the perfect time to learn a new skill! And what better skill is out there than learning to puppeteer for all of your tik-tok, instagram, or YouTube Live videos?!
WHAT: In this 3-hour puppeteering workshop, you'll learn the basics of moving-mouth puppetry from puppeteer, Stacey Gordon. You will be led through skills such as focus, breathing, posture, movement, lip sync and emotion to help make your characters come alive.
This workshop is perfect for beginning and early-intermediate puppeteers, librarians, teachers, play therapists, or anyone who just wants a refresher on their puppetry skills. (If you come in with skills, we'll try to expand on those. If you come in with none, you'll get oh so many skills!)
AND with this special online workshop, you’ll be mailed a random set of Peepers puppet eyes with your reservation!
Although this workshop can be taken without peepers it’s ideal if you have them. Please note that if purchased on or after December 7th (for orders in the US), your order may not arrive in time, so please reserve your spot EARLY!
WHEN: Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 11am -2pm Mountain Standard Time (10am Pacific/1pm Eastern)
WHERE: Zoom! Which means ANYWHERE!
WHO: This workshop is designed for ages 15 - adult. One purchase is required for each person in attendance. If you have a student younger than 15 who would like to attend, please contact us before you purchase.
TASKS REQUIRED: Holding your arm up for extended periods of time; watching yourself on-camera; muting and unmuting yourself when requested; opening and closing your hands
EXTRA DETAILS/TECH: You do NOT need to be in the Phoenix area for this workshop, however you DO need a computer/device with a camera and microphone so your instructor can see what you’re doing as well as a stable internet connection. Headphones are also a good idea. You’ll receive an email with a zoom invitation/link a day or two ahead of the event.
