Join us for a very special episode of "Monitor Mondays" which is extra special because it's being held on a Sunday, and it's being taught by the insanely talented, Greg Ballora! (Scroll down to see all about the guest artist!)

WHAT: This workshop is for people who are interested in puppeteering for a tv monitor. These classes are ongoing, and you can jump in at any time! Whether you're new or experienced, you'll find yourself having a grand ole time!

Use Puppet Pie's puppets, or bring your own!

WHEN: Monday, April 28th, 2019, 6pm-8pm 

WHERE: Puppet Pie Studio, 1301 Grand Avenue, Studio 4, Phoenix, AZ 85007. The entrance is on the south side of the building (on McKinley), to the left of the heart mural.  (You can also find detailed instructions through the navigation at the top of this page, Contact > Visit.)

WHO: This evening is designed for ages 16 - adult.  One purchase is required for all in attendance.

TASKS REQUIRED:
Standing for extended periods of time, holding your arm up over your head for extended periods of time. Looking at a monitor/screen and realizing that everything you know is wrong.

ABOUT THE GUEST ARTIST:

For more than 30 years, Greg Ballora has been a Los Angeles-based puppet builder and performer. He has puppeteered with the Muppets, Henson’s Puppet Up, and was the Puppet Captain on Disney’s Crash and Bernstein. On film, Greg was a lead marionettist for Team America: World Police, and part of the core Doc Ock performance crew on Spiderman II. Greg has also been a Puppet Master for the Disneyland Resort, building puppets, training puppeteers, teaching students and creating parade choreography for puppets and large floats. Greg spent 15 years performing with Jim Gamble Puppet Productions, as well as building puppets with Jim and directing video projects. 
Greg has taught puppet construction and performance at UCLA, Pepperdine University, Penn State and Cal Arts. Greg currently is on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Guild of Puppetry.

You do need to be in the Phoenix area for the workshop. If you don't live in the area (i.e. you have a shipping address that is outside of the Phoenix, Arizona area) and you do plan to attend, please use the contact form to let me know that you'll be attending after you make your purchase. Otherwise I'll politely cancel the sale for you (as I just simply can't ship Greg to you, as much as I wish I could).
